From the M6:Leave the M6 motorway at junction 37 onto the A684, signposted to Sedbergh. At the end of the slip road turn right if you came from the south, or left if approaching from the north. Continue on the A684 for approximately 5 miles. A large sign welcomes you to Sedbergh.From the North East:Follow the A1 and A66 from Scotch Corner to Brough, then the A685 through Kirkby Stephen to the A683 towards Sedbergh.From the Leeds/Bradford area:Follow the A65 to Kirkby Lonsdale then take the A683 to Sedbergh.By Train:Oxenholme station, on the west coast main line, is about 10 miles from Sedbergh. Local bus services between Kendal and Sedbergh stop at the station. Taxis are generally available at the station, alternatively you can pre-book with one of the local taxi/private hire businesses.Trains on the scenic Leeds - Settle - Carlisle line stop at nearby Dent (9 miles), Garsdale (11 miles) and Kirkby Stephen (12 miles) stations. These stations are all un-manned and do not have taxis. Kirkby Stephen is the only station with a daily bus service through Sedbergh but this is not very frequent and you may need to book a taxi.Note that Dent station is about 4 miles away from the village of Dent.Having arrived in Sedbergh the cottage is directly opposite St Andrew's Church in Finkle Street, one of the three streets that form the town centre (the other two are Back Lane and Main Street).
