There are flights to Faro from most UK airports - Ryanair, Jet2, Easyjet and other low cost airlines fly to Faro airport.If you have time, then P&O/ Brittany Ferries sail to Santander and you can add a few nights each way driving through Spain and Portugal to the Algarve. Salamanca, Toledo, Madrid and Evora are all wonderful cities to spend some time in, on the way to or from the Algarve.
