In Brig (30 km away) you can take direct trains to Milan, Geneva, Bern and Basel (with connecting trains to Florence, Rome, Venice, France and Germany). Bellwald is easily accessible by public transport: the MGB (red mountain train) will take you from Brig to Fürgangen, and from there you will reach Bellwald by cable car. Our chalet Stefanino is only an 8-minute-walk from the cable car station. The MGB takes you also comfortably to Zermatt or Disentis (from where you can travel on to Chur/Davos/St. Moritz). The nearest airports are Milan (Malpensa max. 2 1/4 hours by car from Bellwald), Zurich/Kloten (ca. 2 1/2 hrs) and Geneva/Cointrin (ca. 3 hrs). Bellwald is all year round easily accessible by car (during the winter, all the roads are cleared from the snow. However winter tyres and snow chains are indispensable). In the winter our chalet is not accessible by car, but you can unload/load your car as close as 70m from our chalet.
