Getting from the airport to Split ferry terminal -

Taxi - we usually get a taxi from the airport to the ferry terminal. We have

always found drivers to be fair and honest, and the taxis have meters. It costs €40 - €50 for the 30 minute ride.

Coach – There is also a direct bus to the ferry operated by Pleso Prijevoz. It takes about 30 minutes and terminates adjacent to the ferry wharves. The airport bus can be found on the left when you exit the airport terminal. The timetable for the bus varies depending on the time of the year but as a rule of thumb, the bus leaves the airport 30 minutes after the arrival of a scheduled flight, and from the main bus station, the bus departs 2 hours before the departure of scheduled flights. There can be a delay loading baggage and waiting for flights etc., so if you are in a hurry, we recommend a taxi. You can find more information, timetables, and book tickets online. The coach or taxi will drop you right by the sea, close to the ferry terminal.

Getting from Split to Vis –

Timetables – As of July 2023, the ferry route to Vis will be served by two companies: Jadrolinija and, less frequently, TP Line. Timetables can be found on the Croatia Ferries website by searching for "ferry from split to vis" in google (we can't past websites here).

Tickets – Ticket prices for foot passengers range from €6.50 to €15 depending on passenger age and the vessel.

Tickets for the Jadrolinija car ferry (“Peter Hektorovich”) and catamaran can be purchased online or for TP Line tickets check their website (although as of June 2023, it isn’t showing tickets for the trip to Vis yet).

Alternatively, there is a booth for each company next to the taxi rank in the middle of the waterfront and you can buy tickets when you get there (like we do).
