Whether you come north from Faro or south frm Lisbon you will approach Ourique from the IC1.

Leave the IC1 when you see the large sign for Odemira and Ourique (not before).

At the top of the slip road turn left (away from Ourique town).

At the roundabout continue straight ahead. (Pingo Doce supermarket will be on your left)

After approx 6 km, look for the 50 km marker stone on the left side of the road, plus a bus stop..

Turn left up the track and Vale da Cegonha will be on your right, after approx. 800 m.
